    The MICR Document Production System (MICR DPS 2+) from MICR Prime Services, Inc. (MPSI) is a wonderful addition to our automated systems.  We use it to produce new account starter checks, emergency replacement checks, and loan coupons for our members.

    The check module is a life saver, especially when there is a change of address or when members forget to place their check order.  We can provide personal emergency replacements in a matter of minutes.  Click on the account number, enter the number of checks requested, and select "Print" - pretty simple.

    For new members, I think the word is getting around.  They just assume that a pack of personalized checks is what they get as "standard operational procedure."  It really feels good to have control over this part of our member services so that our members walk out the door equipped to use their new account to the full.

    The loan coupons are a great improvement over what we previously offered.  They are more professional in appearance and easier to read.  And the stub is an added benefit.  Member comments are along the line of "I don't need to call the CU to get the dates of my payment record, it's all right here in the book."

    We are just beginning to investigate added marketing benefits that the (MICR DPS 2+) package makes possible, in particular long-term deposit generation and new member recruitment.  It will be interesting to see how these develop.

    MPSI as a company is an enjoyable experience.  They are friendly and courteous and were especially helpful during implementation, although, I must say that "hand-holding" for us was pretty minimal.  The system actually delivered as advertised - a pleasant surprise.  All our orders for consumables (paper stock and MICR toner cartridges) have shipped the same day.  Quality is first rate and pricing is reasonable.  In short, we here at Oregon Pioneer FCU feel confident in recommending MPSI to you.
